“Inspired and On the Move,” the Asbury Park Women’s Convention is set for March 14th and 15th at the House of Independents and downtown district.  Get ready to be informed and inspired with an entire weekend of informative workshops, musical performances, comedy sets, celebrity guest speakers, spoken word and other celebrations of the performing arts including poetry and artwork featured in a number of female-operated businesses.  This year’s event is especially symbolic as it will spotlight female owned and/or operated businesses in recognition of the 100th Anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote.  And NOW for the MAIN EVENT:  “The Women Who Run New Jersey” panel discussion will feature Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver and former Lieutenant Governor, Kim Guadagno with moderator, Jeannine LaRue, a lobbyist at Kaufman Zita Group with a successful 40-year career in government and politics.  These remarkable women will share their experiences, knowledge and insight in this AP exclusive event.  If you are looking for a team to thank for putting this event together, you can start with Asbury Park’s Deputy Mayor, Amy Quinn, Councilwoman Yvonne Clayton, Councilwoman Eileen Chapman, Comedian/Politico Jess Alaimo, AP Women’s March founder Dani Fiori and journalist and Interfaith Neighbors Communications Director Michelle Gladden.  Click APWC3 for tickets and details.
