We're not sure if it's a cosmic trick or treat, but an asteroid will make a near miss, passing Earth on Halloween.

Keep in mind that in space, 300,000 miles is a near miss, and that's how far away the asteroid will be when it passes the Earth, according to cnn.com.. That is about the same distance that separates the Earth and moon.

If you want to try to see this asteroid as it passes by on the 30th and 31st, experts say you'll need a really good telescope. For the record, the name of this asteroid is 2015 TB145. The object is estimated to be between 300 and 600 meters wide and traveling at 78,000.

To put that into perspective, that's even faster than a tourist travels southbound on the Garden State Parkway on the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend.
