Barnegat Inlet’s North Jetty Will Be Undergoing Repair
Barnegat inlet's Sandy damaged north jetty will soon be undergoing repair. According to

Patch.com, the Army Corp of Engineers awarded a $7.6 million dollar contract to Cape May County-based Agate Construction company on Monday.
The superstorm caused the displacement of stone along a 740 foot section of the jetty being repaired. Plans call for rebuilding a cross-section of jetty using existing and supplemented capstone, corestone, slushed concrete and stone-filled mattresses.
The project is slated to begin sometime this month, forcing the prohibition of fishing until repairs are made.
