Beyonce to Perform 2013 Super Bowl Halftime Show

The halftime performer for Super Bowl XLVII has been named.

So who will take the stage?

Beyonce!

The Associated Press reports Queen B will play the halftime show on February 3, 2013 from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The news came from an anonymous source who wasn't authorized to reveal the information to the public. (Whoops!)

Last year's halftime show featured Madonna with appearances by CeeLo Green, LMFAO, and Nicki Minaj.

With Beyonce performing, a cameo by her husband, rapper Jay-Z, wouldn't be out of the question...(or perhaps a Destiny's Child reunion?)

I know I really only watch the Super Bowl for halftime and the commercials...so I'm pretty happy with this choice...though let's hope it's not just a rumor!
