Everyone knows the more common High School Mascots like Bulldogs, Eagles, Lions, Tigers, etc. Although New Jersey is home to these mascots, it’s also home to some extremely bizarre ones as well.

There's a website that names every mascot in New Jersey and you'd be surprised at how many different ones there actually are. I was also super shocked to see how many high schools in New Jersey share the same mascot. Multiple schools in our state are home to the Tigers, Eagles, Panthers, Lions, and Bulldogs.

Again, according to hogtownmascots.com, the 7 most popular high school mascots ever are Bulldogs, Tigers, Eagles, Lions, Spartans, Panthers, and Knights, so it's pretty easy to believe that there are multiple schools that have taken these and made them the face of their high schools!

How many schools are in New Jersey?

According to this extremely convenient website I found called high-schools.com, there are 866 high schools in New Jersey. There are 612 public schools and 254 private schools throughout the state.

With that being said, out of all the 866 schools in the entirety of New Jersey, there are 5 schools that have some insane mascots that have really stuck out to me.

My high school fell into the more classic side of high school mascots, so I can't lie when I say I'm jealous of how cool some of these mascots are! I went through a list of every mascot in new jersey and I have to say, these are the best in my opinion.
