Brick man sits in the Ocean County Jail after uploading child porn to internet
A Brick man is in the Ocean County Jail after state police and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office learned that he was uploading child porn to the internet.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced that Luis Castaneda-Contreras, 33, was at his place of employment in Middletown and then charged with Distribution of Child Pornography and Possession of Child Pornography.
The arrest and subsequent charges for Castaneda-Contreras were preceded by an investigation run after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force identified a person in Ocean County as distributing Child Pornography over the Internet.
Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit then traced the images back to a residence in Brick.
The OCPO High Tech Crime Unit and Brick Police then executed a court-authorized search warrant on Castaneda-Contreras’ residence and seized multiple electronic devices that contained images of child pornography.
Castaneda-Contreras was processed at Brick Police Headquarters then transported to the Ocean County Jail where he remains pending a detention hearing.
