Brick Police looking for woman who looted unlocked cars
Yesterday we told you how Brick Police introduced the 'We Tip' anonymous tip program and it's now a good time to take use of it.
Brick Police need your help identifying a woman allegedly responsible for two vehicle thefts that took place around 5:00 am on Monday morning on Cornell and Bryn Mawr drives.
Like many other shore car burglaries that have been reported, the doors were unlocked.
The suspect was also seen nearby and reportedly spoke to a resident in the area.
She is described as a white female, 20-30 years old, approximately 5'2" with shoulder length brown hair, wearing jeans and a white blouse and had left the area after being picked up in an unknown vehicle.
"Lock your cars. Please! Every night, every lot, in your driveway, in the street in front of your house, all the time. Most car burglaries occur to unlocked vehicles," Brick Police said on Facebook. "It is rare that we have someone smashing windows to gain entry. Those that happen are usually the result of something valuable being left in sight."
Anyone with information should call Brick Police at 732-262-1100.
