Brick Teen Hit by a Car Sustains Serious Injuries

A Brick Township teen sustains serious injuries after being hit by car on Hooper Avenue early Monday evening. Police say the accident occurred at around 5:30 near Atrium Drive as he was attempting to cross the roadway.

Police are questioning 52-year-old driver Theresa Huizing of Brick but say speed doesn't appear to be a factor. They say the 16-year-old was wearing dark colored clothing. The teen was transported to the Jersey Shore Medical Center with head trauma, broken leg and internal injuries.
