Brick Township Town Bans ‘Jersey Shore’
There's one Shore town you won't see the cast of 'Jersey Shore' in anytime soon.
Brick Township has said 'no' to allowing 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation' to film in the town.
According to Jersey Shore Online, on July 6, MTV producers filled out an application to film at 49 Rochester Drive. Filming would have started July 15.
In a statement, Brick Mayor John Ducey said traffic was a concern. Speaking to Jersey Shore Online:
It’s just a neighborhood and it’s not near any commercial zones and the roads are thin.
Residents were not thrilled about the idea of the Jersey Shore crew coming to town either.
Another person that is not happy, is the owner of 49 Rochester Drive. He was hoping that the 'Jersey Shore' factor would help him sell the property which is currently for sale for just under $1 million.
Producers are said to be looking for more locations, but they will not be in Brick.
