If you have visited a Chili's within New Jersey during March or April and paid by credit or debit card, take a look at your bank statement because their system has been hacked and account information has been stolen.

The chain suggests that all at risk should place a "security freeze" on their account and keep a close eye on the activity.

Chili's is currently working with third-party forensic experts to determine how this incident happened and hopefully, how to ensure that it never happens again.

Chili's has issued an apology to anyone who has been affected by this security breach but has not let the public know just how many people have been victims to these unknown hackers.

Keep in mind that there are 24 Chili's in New Jersey, with at least four at the Jersey Shore including Asbury Park, Toms River, Freehold, and Holmdel.

Nothing is safe anymore -- not even a relaxing evening out with friends or family. How sad....
