It's the time of year when you eagerly run out to your mailbox to see if there are any Christmas cards from friends and family.

You line your mantel with beautifully decorated cards and pictures or tape them to your wall or refrigerator for all to see.

Okay, maybe I’m idealizing this a little too much because it certainly doesn’t seem like Christmas cards are as popular as they used to be, but I truly do love getting them.

I've only received 2 cards so far this year and I'm wondering if they're no longer a thing.

Not only are they expensive, but with social media, you no longer have to wait an entire year to see pictures of family and friends because you see them all the time on Instagram and Facebook!!

So it got me wondering does the Jersey Shore send out Christmas cards anymore?

I asked on Facebook and got a lot of great responses.

Are Christmas Cards A Dying Tradition? Here's What The Jersey Shore Has To Say

"No. Not in years. I call. People just throw away. Waste of money."

"Less each year. I only send to those who send. I want to send more, but stuff costs money."

"Yes!! It’s the one thing I never skip. People love getting them and I love getting cards!"

"Only a few to family."

I was actually a bit surprised by how many people said yes, they still send out Christmas cards.

Of course, there were also quite a few people who said no!

If you are still sending them out this year put me on your list.

I still love getting them!
