Craft Beer and Girl Scout Cookie Pairing Coming to Asbury Park
There are many ways to perfectly pair craft beers. Meats, cheeses, Girl Scout cookies. Wait, what?
Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten in Asbury Park is hosting a Girl Scout Cookie and Beer Pairing event this Sunday, March 3 from noon-5.
This is your chance to chow down of Girl Scout cookies with flights of beer that have been partnered perfectly.
Blanche de Bruxelles is a gold pale wit and is supposed to go well with lemony Savanah Smiles.
How about trying out Kostritzer, a dark beer with spikes of chocolate, roasted nut and coffee? It's considered Germany's take on Guinness. AFB says it's enjoyed best with Thin Mints. Sorry, they won't be frozen.
Don't worry, they didn't forget about Samoas. If that's your cookie of choice, Schneider Aventinus is your beer. It's the oldest wheat from Bavaria and features strong notes of ripe bananas, raisins, and plums with licorice aromas.
Plus, if you missed out on stocking up on your favorite Girl Scout cookies, there will be a pop-up sale throughout the event.
