Well, we're not in the top 10, so it appears we're doing a lot better here in the Garden State compared to other states.
Fast Food Popularity Stats In America
According to the New York Post, the study took the number of popular fast food restaurants in each state and compared it to the population to find which states had the most per 100-thousand residents.
Whether it's Chick-fil-A, McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, or whatever your favorite place to go is to grab a quick burger or chicken sandwich, New Jersey is not considered the number one state for fast food chains.
West Virginia lands at the very top of the list, followed by Kentucky, then Kansas, coming in at number three.
