But with the longer nights, there's more time to settle in and put on our PJs a little earlier, relax, and watch a good movie. And since it's Halloween season, why not watch a scary movie?
But you may want to leave a light on...or two!!
Why? According to new research, a lot of adults are afraid of the dark. Are you?
The Percentage Of Adults Afraid Of The Dark
In fact, 29 percent of respondents admitted they are afraid of the dark, and men are slightly more likely than women to have this fear, 33 percent vs. 26 percent.
The Impact Of Halloween Movies On Sleep Quality
Data also found that after watching a scary movie, 28 percent are more likely to wake up during the night, 22 percent have lower quality sleep, and 12 percent sleep for fewer hours.
You may want to think twice before opting for that horror film this weekend.
Or just make sure you put on your nightlight and every other light in your home before heading to bed!
