Four Charged With Arson for Two Recent Fires in Burlington County
Four people have been charged with arson and other offenses in connection to two recent fires in Burlington County that destroyed two buildings and damaged two others.
Authorities say the first fire was on April 26th at the former U.S. Pipe Company plant and the second on June 7th at the McNeal Mansion property on East Pearl Boulevard in Burlington City.
Following an investigation, the following people were arrested:
- 20-year-old Gabriel Vance of Berlin, charged with two counts of arson, two counts of criminal mischief, and two counts of criminal trespassing. He was lodged in Burlington County Jail pending court appearance.
- 20-year-old Summer Wisor of Sicklerville was charged with two counts of criminal mischief and two counts of criminal trespassing. Sge was released pending a court appearance in compliance with N.J. Bail Reform Laws.
- Both 18-year-old Daniel Badecki of Audubon and 19-year-old Ryan Gibbs of Blackwood were both charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespassing. Both were released pending a court appearance.
Prosecutors say detectives located a video depicting the four suspects entering the McNeal Mansion property and then returning after a fire was started. Cops say a resident’s home security camera captured a suspect vehicle and people of interest. A tip from a citizen led to the vehicle being found in Gloucester Township. During interviews and further investigation, it was determined that the four people seen in the video were the ones who started the fires.
The motive behind the fires is still being investigated as well if they were involved in any other fires in the region. Anyone with more information about these incidents are asked to contact the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office at (609) 386-0262.
