A Galloway Township drug dealer, who ruthlessly dealt a man the deadly combination of heroin mixed with fentanyl, has now pleaded guilty to causing his death.

Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill announced on Monday that 56-year old Brian Whitted pleaded guilty to first-degree Strict Liability for Drug-Induced Death, second-degree Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin along with co-defendant Emery Chapman, and second-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin for his role in causing the 2018 fatal overdose of 59-year-old Anthony Tamburelli, also of Galloway Township.

It was Galloway Police Officers who found Tamburelli dead inside of his residence from a drug overdose on December 17, 2018.

Police learned, through their investigation which later included the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Unit, that Whitted and Chapman teamed up to sell Tamburelli the lethal concoction of heroin laced with fentanyl.

For his role in the death of Tamburelli, Whitted faces 10-years in state prison, following his plea, with sentencing set for April 28.

Acting Prosecutor Shill also announced Monday that Atlantic County Assistant Prosecutor Allison L. Eiselen represents the state in this matter.
