A new report is out about the dirtiest parts of a hotel room, but before we get to the most disgusting item, a few other items are crawling with germs, too!
I have a friend who brings her own sheets when she travels. Yes! Her own sheets.
She says hotel sheets are disgusting, so she replaces them as soon as she gets into the room.
What Are The Germiest Surfaces In Hotel Rooms?
According to the popular travel website Travel + Leisure, high-touch surfaces are the most contaminated, including phones, remotes, light switches, and carpets.
No surprise to hear that any of those items made the list, but there's one item that hardly ever gets washed. And it's probably not something you've ever thought about.

Decorative throw pillows and the runner at the end of the bed are considered the grossest because they hardly ever get washed.
Make sure to toss those aside!
