U.S. News and World Report analyzed more than 2,000 schools from nearly 100 countries to find the best Global Universities, with New Jersey being home to 7 of the top-ranked schools, according to NJ.com.

With Harvard University ranking #1 on the list, Princeton University came in at #16 and is considered the top school in New Jersey.

"Research institutions are judged based on several factors, including measures of a university’s global and regional research reputation, along with academic research performance. To be considered for a ranking, schools must have met a minimum threshold of at least 1,250 research papers published between 2019 to 2023," according to NJ.com.
