GoFundMe page set up for family of Shore Fire Grille owner
Support has poured in following the tragic passing of Tim Kohlheim, the owner of the Shore Fire Grille in Manahawkin and Surf City, who was truly someone beloved in Southern Ocean County.
Kohlheim was driving on Route 72 in Stafford Township when he collided into the back of a crash attenuator vehicle preparing to set up for a left lane closure due to construction.
He leaves behind his wife Samantha and their two young daughters.
In the hours of receiving the news of his passing, the community has rallied in support of Samantha and their two daughters by starting a GoFundMe campaign for the family after his recent passing in yesterday's tragic car accident.
Today alone the community has raised over $27,000 to help the family through such a difficult time.
Harvey Cedars Police Chief Robert Burnaford also passed along his condolences.
"Tim and his family are friends of our department. They have been very supportive and generous to us and the entire community. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his young family and friends," -- Stafford Township Police said in a statement.
Shore Good Donuts Manahawkin: -- "Like most in this community, we’re having trouble finding the right words to express something so inexplicably tragic. It’s with an unfortunate sadness that we must mourn the loss of Tim Kohlheim; a colleague and friend. Our hearts absolutely break for his wife and two young daughters. The community, his friends, and his family will miss him greatly. Rest In Peace. Join us Sunday at any location as we will donate 20% of sales on his behalf."
"Last night, our community tragically lost a local business owner and good friend. Tim Kohlheim, owner of the Shore Fire Grille II here in Surf City, was a man who supported his community and always extended a helping hand to those in need. Our thoughts are with his family, his friends, the staff at Shore Fire Grille, and everyone in the community who was lucky enough to know Tim, " -- Surf City Police Department said in a statement.
"Last night we lost one of our own. Tim was a stand up guy who always went out of his way to help people. Words cannot express the enormity of the loss his family and our community have sustained. To help ease the burden on Tim’s family, we will be donating a portion of our sales this weekend to the go fund me page that has been set up in his name. Please join us," -- The Chicken or The Egg said in a statement.
