Decoration And Costume Costs Won't Stop This Halloween Fun

According to the survey, 79% of U.S. adults plan to celebrate Halloween this year, jumping to 93% for those with children. Households are expected to spend an average of $420 on festivities and closer to $652 if they have kids.

That's a lot of money. I went to the store this past weekend to pick up some Halloween candy, and I can see how candy alone could eat up a big chunk of the budget. Adding in costumes, decorations, and other fall activities can make it pretty expensive.

Drive by any New Jersey farm this time of year, and they're packed with long lines for hayrides and pumpkin picking, which is always great to see that people are out and about, celebrating the fall season.
