Have Storytime with a Real FAO Schwarz Toy Soldier
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and you know what would make it even more wonderful? Towers of toys and twinkling lights as a backdrop for storytime with a real toy soldier from the world's most famous toy store, New York City's FAO Schwarz.
The best part is you don't have to make the trek up to the city. It's all virtual.
For 25-dollars you and the family can meet a toy soldier in their favorite corner of FAO Schwarz, where they'll introduce you to their favorite toys.
After that, settle in behind your computer, tablet, or phone for a couple of stories. Soldiers will even play you a song or two on the big piano.
The whole experience is about 45 minutes and is being hosted by airbnb.
In one way or another, I think we are all improvising this holiday season. Ideally, we'd love to take the family to the city to see the Christmas tree at Rockafeller Center and roam the aisles and aisles of toys at FAO Schwarz. But, this is a pretty cool virtual alternative.
The listing says that spots are filling up very quickly, so check out their page to book your spot. I think 25-dollars is pretty reasonable for 45 minutes of holiday fun.
The FAO Shwartz toy soldiers are no Santa, but they know a thing or two about the magic of the holidays.
