DAVID CHASE AND MELISSA ETHERIDGE WILL HEADLINE THE 2020 ASBURY PARK MUSIC + FILM FESTIVAL! 

The creator of The Sopranos will take part in a conversation and career retrospective and Melissa Etheridge will perform at this weekend-long festival taking place from April 23-26 in Asbury Park.

The Asbury Park Music + Film Festival (APMFF) brings to the Paramount Theatre "An Evening With The Sopranos Creator David Chase" on Saturday, April 25 at 7:00pm, and a performance by Melissa Etheridge on Thursday, April 23 at 7:30pm.

Dylan Archives V will make its return on Sunday, April 26 at noon at the House of Independents.

Tickets go on sale for all three events on Friday, November 22, at 10:00am. Ticket prices for "An Evening With The Sopranos Creator David Chase" will range from $25.00-$129.00; Melissa Etheridge from $35.00-$129.00; and Dylan Archives V at $20.00 advance/$25.00 at the door. The not-for-profit APMFF will benefit underserved children in Asbury Park and its surrounding areas by providing music education, instruments and social connection opportunities.

David Chase will appear at The Paramount Theatre on Saturday, April 25th, 2020 for a career retrospective, highlighting his vision as creator of The Sopranos. The evening will include an in-depth discussionThe Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner has produced, written, and directed critically acclaimed television shows such as influential Peabody Award-winning HBO drama series The SopranosThe Sopranos, which he created, is the most financially successful series in the history of cable television and is acknowledged as one of the greatest television series of all time. The Many Saints of Newark, Chase’s highly anticipated film prequel to The Sopranos, will be released by Warner Bros. in 2020.

The iconic GRAMMY and Oscar-winning singer/songwriter, Melissa Etheridge, will appear at the Paramount Theatre on Thursday, April 23 to kick off the Asbury Park Music + Film Festival to continue her tour, The Medicine Show.  The singer will be performing a variety of fan favorites but will also perform songs from her latest album The Medicine Show. The Medicine Show reunited Etheridge with celebrated producer John Shanks for the album which has her sounding as rousing as ever, bringing a new level of artistry to her 15th studio recording.

Dylan Archives V, presented by the Bob Dylan Center, will take place on Sunday, April 26 at the House of Independents. This presentation of rare Bob Dylan performance footage has been critically-acclaimed and a highlight for Festival attendees.

The Asbury Park Music + Film Festival provides resources to support music education for underserved youth in and around Asbury Park.  Funding supports the Asbury Park Music Foundation, the Hip Hop Institute and Lakehouse Music Academy programs. APMFF also delivers high-tech music education to students and provides after-school programming at schools in Asbury Park, Long Branch, Red Bank and Bradley Beach. The Festival also supports Lady of Mt. Carmel and the Boys & Girls Club of Monmouth County. APMFF offers scholarship opportunities and a commitment to musical excellence which affords life-changing experiences.
