Unless your a hockey player or a talented ice skater or something, you likely did a split getting out of your house between last night and this morning.

The freezing rain forecasted Monday by our Townsquare Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow resulted in sleet calling Jersey roads home last night which made walking to your car and then driving exceedingly difficult.

In Lakewood Township, Police spokesman Greg Staffordsmith tells WOBM News that there were 15 motor vehicle crashes between 4:30 pm Monday and 8:20 am Tuesday.

One of the people involved in the crashes refused medical treatment but did complain of chest and leg pain.

There was also an accident involving a police car that slid about 30-feet on the icy roads before hitting an unoccupied parked car.

Nobody was injured in that accident and there was minimal damage in the crash.
