It could be 20-years for Little Egg Harbor resident who stabbed a man to death
A Little Egg Harbor man is looking at a possible 20-years behind bars for stabbing a man to death at a home on Maplewood Drive.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced that Kendrick Coley, 29, of Little Egg Harbor, pled guilty to Aggravated Manslaughter on Thursday relative to the stabbing death of Richard Pone.
At the time of his sentencing on December 3, 2021, the State will recommend a term of 20 years in New Jersey State Prison.
On May 16, 2018, Little Egg Harbor Police responded to a 9-1-1 around 8:15 pm in reference to a stabbing incident that had taken place at a residence.
When they arrive, police found Pone in an upstairs bedroom with multiple stab wounds and he was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 8:40 p.m.
The joint investigation that ensued by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit and Little Egg Harbor Police Detectives learned that Coley stabbed Pone multiple times after the two had gotten into a physical altercation.
Coley was arrested at the scene and without incident.
He has been in the Ocean County Jail since the date of his arrest on May 16, 2018.
Prosecutor Billhimer said that Chief Trial Attorney Michael Weatherstone and Assistant Prosecutor Kimberly Carr handled the case on behalf of the State.
