A husband and wife are dead following an apparent murder-suicide in Cumberland County over the weekend.

State troopers were called to a home on Roadstown Road in Hopewell Township, just west of Bridgeton, at about 7:45 Saturday evening, July 27th.

At the scene, authorities found a 52-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Initial observations, which are subject to autopsy results, revealed that the woman was shot by the man and then the man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
