
Burlington County, NJ, Man Charged After Allegedly Shooting Woman in PA Park
Published reports say a Burlington County man has been charged with attempted homicide following a shooting at a park in western Pennsylvania over the weekend.
31-year-old Jevonn J. Brown of Westampton is facing attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person charges for allegedly shooting a 29-year-old woman from the same town in New Jersey.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, citing a press release from Pennsylvania State Police, the two were visiting Butler County and had driven to Moraine State Park, where they argued shortly after 3 AM.
Troopers said that during the argument, Brown fired a pistol several times at the woman, who was sitting in their vehicle.
The unidentified woman was being treated at Allegheny General Hospital; neither her name nor her condition has been released.
Brown was arrested at the scene and was being held in the Butler County Jail.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
