Authorities in Pleasantville say a man has been arrested after a "large amount of suspected marijuana" was accidentally delivered to City Hall.

The Pleasantville Police Department says this past Monday, a FedEx delivery person dropped off a package and once its contents were revealed, an investigation involving police and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office began.

Their work resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a store, Pleasantville Tobacco and Accessories, at 18 North Main Street.

Pleasantville City Hall happens to be exactly one block over at 18 North 1st Street.

The search warrant resulted in the seizure of marijuana, paraphernalia, and cash, according to officials, and the business owner, 40-year-old Riyadh Al Naggar of Pleasantville, was arrested and charged with numerous counts of drug-related offenses.

Al Naggar was transported to the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending an initial court appearance.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
