The Coppola Family owns and manages an amazing restaurant and community.

The Historic Smithville Inn has been open since 1787, two years before George Washington became the first President of The United States.

Now that’s history!

The Smithville Inn chicken pot pie is my absolute favorite.

It looks and tastes like it is prepared like they did in the late 1700’s.

There are hidden dumplings inside that are such a great surprise, along with perfect-sized bites of chicken and carrots.

It’s perfect every time (see directly below):

MAYS LANDING DINER - MAYS LANDING, NEW JERSEY

Above, this is another “wow” example.

The Mays Landing Diner is a classic diner that makes great food.

Their chicken pot pie is fantastic.

We just had to include this very special and well deserved Honorable Mention for Nancy’s wonderful chicken pot pie. It’s not available for consumers to purchase … however, it did win our highly competitive “Hurley in the Morning” Chicken Pot Pie contest in a past in-studio competition.

This win officially placed Nancy’s chicken pot pie on The Gary’s Restaurant (Pleasantville, New Jersey) menu for one day.

Nancy’s unique interpretation calls for large homemade planks of pasta that makes you feel that you thrown back to the 1700’s.

Nancy shared with us that this amazing chicken pot pie is an Amish heritage dish which has been handed down through her family.

Nancy’s chicken pot pie is my all time favorite.

We enjoyed it so much at Gary’s Restaurant … it was so satisfying.
