Seventeen-year-old Jacquie Lee, Season 5 runner up on The Voice, is now releasing more music and an MTV music video, and she stopped by 94.3 the Point's studios this morning to tell us all about it!

Jacquie Lee's first EP is coming out! "Broken Ones"  will be released on October 21st. And it's available for pre-order on iTunes right now. It broke into the top 50 on the charts in a matter of hours by word of mouth alone the minute word came out about it.

On the EP, along with her hit "Broken Ones",  you have the upbeat soulful pop tracks "Tears Fall" And "Drown Me (In Your Love):, the beautiful, soul-baring ballad "Right Love" and Jacquie's darker, tender take on the classic "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" -- a unique, statement-making track that closes the EP. Jacquie's debut EP is full of honest lyrics and her gorgeous vocals.

If you enjoyed hearing Jacquie Lee on our show this morning, you can see her performing her lead single Broken Ones on NBC's TODAY show on Tuesday, October, 21st. That song sailed into the iTunes Top 20 Pop Chart when it was released and has taken off ever since.

MTV is now a big supporter of Jacquie's, and has just premiered her brand new song "Tears Fall". The "Broken Ones" MTV music video premiere will be on MTV next week....perhaps the 21st???

Jacquie Lee began singing when she was just seven. At first she was extremely shy and would only sing behind a closed door to her parents listening on the other side. But when she won the lead role in her 5th grade play Mulan, she realized she felt at home on stage.

Over the next several years, she would perform with Rockit, a program run out of the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, where talented musicians come together to form rock bands and perform together live in concert. Jacquie became a local favorite here at the Jersey Shore singing at charity events before making it onto The Voice at the age of 15 where we followed her from audition to the final two, as she was mentored by Christina Aguilera and developed a playful rapport with Adam Levine.

Of course, we had Jacquie Lee on our morning show at every turn whenever she was home and able to pop in or call us from L.A.

Now Jacquie is signed to Atlantic Records/300 Entertainment and has garnered praise from Seventeen, Teen Vogue and Glamour. She will next be featured in the November issue of Elle, which you should be able to find on newsstands next week...if not sooner.

Earlier this year, as part of her ongoing commitment to give back to the Jersey Shore that has given her so much, Jacquie headlined Operation Provide Comfort's "Two Towns-One Voice-One Mission" concert to benefit the ongoing relief effort for the residents of Union Beach affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Jacquie is now writing and recording additional songs that will go on her debut album that, rumor has it, could be out early next year. Could a tour be far behind? There are also rumors going around that...well, you'll have to wait to hear who she may be doing a duet with!!!

Jacquie...we wish you continued success and a lifetime of happiness. And we thank you for sharing your beautiful voice with us!
