Vetwork is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting our honorably discharged veterans in coming home, getting situated, receiving financial, social, and medical aid, and readjusting to domestic life in the U.S. Many of these vets are homebound and depend on the food pantry, which is dangerously running low.

Ken Hansen of Vetwork says their food pantry is nearly depleted, and the VA is sending them requests for homebound Ocean County veterans that they can't fulfill.

These are men and women who put their lives on the line in World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam War.

Here are specific items that are desperately needed:

  • cereal
  • peanut butter
  • jelly
  • dry milk
  • canned tuna
  • pork & beans
  • canned spaghetti
  • canned vegetables
  • fruit juice
  • coffee
  • tea

If you are able to help, please contact Bernie or Kenny at (609) 384-1808. The Vetwork food pantry is located at 103 N. Main St. in Forked River, 08731.

Please consider mailing a monetary donation so our vets are healthy and fed during this crisis.
