Jim Breuer is scheduled to bring his "Freedom of Laughter Tour" to the Wellmont Theatre in Montclair on December 3.

However, in a social media rant on Friday, September 10, the comedian and actor said he refuses to play the Montclair date and a show in Royal Oak, Michigan due to the venue's proof of vaccination policies.

Many area theaters, arenas, and performance spaces have already started to require guests to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.

Beginning October 4, all Live Nation will demand proof of vaccination for not only event attendees, but staff, and even performers.

Breuer went on for 22-minutes on his social media platform making some pretty bold claims. He called requiring vaccinations "segregation."  He said:

I know I’m going to sacrifice a lot of money, but I’m not going to be enslaved by the system, or by money, and nor should anyone who wants to laugh or be entertained.

At one point he called some doctors "licensed drug dealers."

Breuer, who now lives in Florida, was a resident in Chester, New Jersey for many years.

He is one of the few in entertainment that is taking their "anti-vax" stance public. In his Facebook live, Breuer calls out promoters for holding him and other entertainers "hostage" for requiring fans to get a shot.

He also railed against big named actors and actresses, and late-night TV hosts for advocating for the COVID-19 vaccine. Breuer called them "slaves to money and fame" adding:

I’d rather go bankrupt and make a stance, and not segregate.

As of this writing, the Wellmont Theatre in Montclair is still selling tickets to Jim Bruer's December 3 show.
