Jenkinson's conducts a summer job fair Saturday, April 23, 11 AM through 2 PM inside the Pavilion Restaurant on Ocean Avenue.  The Seaside Heights & Vicinity job fair takes place April 30, 12 Noon until 3 PM, at the Acme of Ortley Beach.

According to Christine Karaska of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, both venues will offer on-the-spot interviews, and both have a limited number of positions for applicants who are age 16.

Jenkinson's has an online portal to download applications. Christie strongly recommends filling one before Saturday, eliminating the time it takes to enter the information on site.

Jenkinsons seeks beach maintenance and arcade workers, game and ride operators, cashiers, food preparers and vendors, salespeople, counter help, beach badge checkers, and more.

Organizers of the Seaside Heights & Vicinity fair are in the hunt for ride and game operators, salespeople, bartenders, deli and stock clerks, cashiers, food preparers, lifeguards, arcade attendants and more.

Christine recommends dressing as though you will meet business owners - because you will do exactly that, and first impressions are deep ones.

Seasonal workers at the shore often give visitors and fun-seekers their first, and most lasting impressions as well. Employers look for the kind of personality and characteristics that will bring guests back every year.

Also bring two forms of identification, your Social Security number, a pen, and most of all, a winning smile.

If you have any questions before you venture to the fairs, reach Christine at 732-793-5060.
