Here we go again, another scam to watch out for.
I recently got a text claiming I owed money to E-ZPass. It was completely fake, but honestly, if you're in a rush or distracted, it's easy to see how someone could fall for it. I simply deleted the text, but these scams are getting more and more convincing.

Now there's a new warning from the Camden County Sheriff's Office detailing how scammers are impersonating police officers, claiming you have a warrant out for your arrest, according to the Burlington County Times.
If you get a phone call or a voicemail like this, don't fall for it!!

It's important to always remember that you'll never be asked to send money by phone to pay for a warrant.
And never give out any personal information over the phone!

- "Calls requesting photos or videos of individuals conducting a strip search of themselves to avoid jail time or clear court fines."
- "Calls claiming the individual is being held in contempt for failure to report to jury duty."
- "Calls claiming the individual has fines related to outstanding warrants."
- "Calls requesting monetary gift cards, voucher purchases or bank deposits to avoid jail time and clear court fines."
- "Calls claiming the individual is under a "gag order" and cannot discuss the matter of the call with anyone else."
- "Calls demanding the individual stay on the phone until a "bond" is paid."
