Manahawkin man recovering after crashing into utility pole
A Manahawkin man is recovering after crashing into a utility pole on Monday afternoon along Lighthouse Drive near Barnacle Drive.
Stafford Police said that Christopher Parker, 41, was heading south along Lighthouse Drive in a 2014 Ford F-150 when as he approached a left curve in the roadway, he fell asleep behind the wheel and his vehicle then left the road and struck the utility pole.
Speed was not a factor in the collision, police said, but due to the damage and wires down, the roadway was closed for utility repairs for several hours.
Stafford Police Officers Kunder and Samaritano are investigating the car crash.
