The journey to true mental health is an ongoing one. Personally, I try to better myself every day by researching and trying different techniques. The Internet can be a good resource, but it can also be a very confusing place.

That’s why The OceanCares Foundation with Ocean Mental Health Services is proud to present the 2021 Mental Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, May 8 from 10am-3pm at Traders Cove Marina on Mantoloking Road in Brick. It’s free and open to the public. All COVID-19 safety and health protocols will be in place and all guests must be wearing a mask.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. I’m inviting you to join me and the community as we explore all of the pieces of the mental health puzzle. This will be a safe place where each mind matters and we promote a stigma free movement.

Did you know that regular yoga practice creates mental clarity and calmness, increases body awareness, relieves chronic stress patterns, relaxes the mind, centers attention, and sharpens concentration, according to Natalie Nevins, DO, a board-certified osteopathic family physician and certified Kundalini Yoga instructor in Hollywood, California?

RISE Health studio will be hosting various yoga sessions for all ages throughout the day. Please bring your own mat.

I’d love to meet you during our scenic beach walk. To register and get more information, click here.
