Monmouth County opening new vaccine sites by the beach this weekend
Monmouth County is providing new sites and times for you to head on down and get vaccinated and by the beach this weekend.
Commissioner Director Sue Kiley said the county has partnered with the county park system, Asbury Park, Long Branch and the VNA for the set-up.
They'll be offering vaccines at Sandy Hook, Pier Village and at the Asbury Park Convention Center.
"We want everyone to be safe and we want to make it as easy as possible for those that want to get a vaccine to be able to get one," Kiley said.
Kiley said vaccines will be administered Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and no appointment is necessary for anyone 18 and older.
Anyone between 12 and 18 can go to Brookdale Community College for a vaccine but must come with a legal guardian.
For anyone though, the Brookdale Community College vaccine site will now be open on Tuesday's from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm.
"If you'd like to make an appointment, you can, but you have the ability to just walk in and receive a vaccine," Kiley said.
Kiley adds that the county will also be resuming vaccinations for children returning to school in September next week at the Monmouth County Health Department.
