A quick shoutout to everyone who has participated in the Monmouth County School Spirit Battles this month. One thing is for sure. Monmouth County is passionate. Let's take a look at the two high schools that are moving on to the finals. 

Last week, thousands of votes came in to support our "final four" schools.

The first battle was between the Matawan Huskies and the Middletown South Eagles. Both schools got the word out and were dominant during the competition, but this matchup wasn't even close. With 80% of the vote, the Matawan Huskies move on to the finals.

WINNER: MATAWAN HUSKIES

The second battle pit two Monmouth County favorites against each other. Mater Dei Seraphs vs. Ocean Twp. Spartans. This was about as close as it gets. It literally came down to the last few votes Sunday night, but with 51.07% of the vote, congratulations to the Mater Dei Seraphs!

WINNER: MATER DEI SERAPHS

Can schools and communities come together to prove they’re the best?

It starts with a click. Simply vote for your school. But there’s much more you can do to take the title for Monmouth.
