We've heard the stories and urban legends.

But, are there really locations in the Garden State that are so haunted that only a select few dare to visit?

New Jersey is scary - literally. I did some digging on the most haunted spots in the Garden State and the results were enough to give you chills.

These legendarily spooky spots have a lot of history. In some cases, the history dates back hundreds and hundreds of years.

There's a building that is believed to be haunted by the ghosts of Revolutionary War spies.

This one is fascinating. A mansion in Perth Amboy is said to be haunted by the ghost of William Franklin, the illegitimate son of Benjamin Franklin. People have reported hearing his footsteps and experiencing strange occurrences.

It's not always structures that have a paranormal history in New Jersey. Clinton Road is famous for its eerie and unsettling reputation. It's been the site of various paranormal experiences, including sightings of ghostly figures, strange creatures, and phantom vehicles.

Cape May is a charming town known for its Victorian architecture and its fair share of ghostly legends. Many of the town's historic inns and hotels, such as the Southern Mansion and the Angel of the Sea, are believed to be haunted by various spirits.

Have you experienced a paranormal experience or know of a haunting that's not on my list? Please share your story with me. Matt.Ryan@townsquaremedia.com.
