According to an MSN report, most people have two close friends. Twenty-five years ago that number was three. That doesn't say much for the few hundred other Facebook friends each of us seems to have! In the survey, someone was considered a close friend if someone had discussed 'important matters' with them in the past six months.

This makes sense to me. Just think back to your high school days and compare it to your circle now. It's just natural that between jobs, familiy responsibilities, moves and a dozen other factors, we just grow apart from most of our friends. It's just a great reminder to cherish the friends you have!
