The training is regularly-scheduled, base officials said, not a response to any specific threat. Noise is likely to be most noticeable in Sandy Hook National Park, Middletown, Atlantic Highlands, Belford and Leonardo.

Navy harbor patrol vessels will prowl Sandy Hook Bay in the area of the restricted Earle waterfront zone, conducting maneuvers that also involve laser-designating devices.

And if you're hoping for a close look - nah, you don't want to do that. The Marine Security Zone is patrolled by Navy security details, and crossing into it means arrest and prosecution.
