New Egypt man used Google Meets to upload child porn images, prosecutors say
A New Egypt man who was allegedly using Google Meets to upload a series of Child Porn images is now sitting in the Ocean County Jail, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced on Wednesday.
It was the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force who first spotted the nefarious activity of 40-year old Richard Knight, who was identified along with where he lived by the Ocean County Prosecutors Office High Tech Crime Unit.
Knight is being charged with Distribution of Child Pornography and Possession of Child Pornography following a near 6-month investigation leading to Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, United States Homeland Security Investigations and Plumsted Township Police executing a court authorized search warrant at his residence in New Egypt.
Inside the home, Detectives seized two cell phones.
Knight was then arrested at his place of employment in Browns Mills, processed at the Plumsted Township Police Department and transported to the Ocean County Jail where awaits a detention hearing.
