Another closing in New Jersey as small businesses continue to struggle to keep up with costs.

It's sad news to hear this "highly addictive" bakery, selling delicious donuts, fudge, and gelato, is closing down for good.

Running a small business like ours has been a labor of love, and passion but it has also taken a significant toll on our personal relationships, mental health, and overall well-being. Maggie Moose Bakery & Gourmet Gift Boutique is Closing

Maggie Moose Bakery is located along a popular stretch of Route 70 in Medford, Burlington County.

Candy Vargas-Thibeau grew up in the area but moved with her family to Canada.

That's where she opened her first store outside Toronto.

Her friends encouraged her to move back to New Jersey and open a store here, according to Patch.

The store in Medford opened in 2021. They say closing a business can be very tedious.

It can be overwhelming as well, so we request that when you come in over the next few weeks, we keep it positive and look on the bright side, because there definitely is always a bright side! That’s the foundation of Maggie Moose!

Maggie Moose Bakery is expected to close at the end of September.
