New Jersey Has Millions of Unclaimed Money – See if it’s Yours

This site is backed by the NJ Treasury Department and is a database of governmental unclaimed property records. This includes:

• Bank accounts and safe deposit box contents
• Stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and dividends
• Uncashed checks and wages
• Insurance policies, CD's, trust funds
• Utility deposits, escrow accounts

I did a search and found that there are the contents of my late grandfather's safe deposit box just being stored by the State. And yes, it includes money.
