It's that time of year!

Enjoy the fresh, delicious flavors of Jersey at your local New Jersey farmers market.

All the Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables we've been craving are starting to appear at farmers' markets throughout the state, starting with asparagus.

Other crops with an early harvest include kale, lettuce, radishes, spinach, strawberries, and beets, according to the New Jersey Department of Agriculture.

New Jersey Assistant Secretary of Agriculture Joe Atchison says,

We are anticipating a great season for our farmers and all who produce Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables. Jersey Fresh has been part of our state’s agricultural fabric for more than 40 years. Consumers know the Jersey Fresh label means they are purchasing locally grown products picked at the peak of freshness. This also supports the local economy and allows our farmers to continue to grow the best produce year after year.

My favorite - blueberries!

I always LOVE driving through Hammonton, the "Blueberry Capital of the World," and seeing the abundance of blueberries growing, and stopping to pick some up at any of the amazing farmers' markets along Route 206.
