Attention ladies (and those with sensitive tailbones), the NFL is going to make game day a little less convenient for you!

Starting this fall, the NFL will have a new policy on what can be brought into the stadium. In a statement released yesterday, they revealed the new guidelines:

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, seat cushions, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size [12” x 6” x 12”].'

The statement adds that the new policy is meant to make stadiums safer and to reduce lines for fans waiting to get in to the games.

Blankets will still be allowed, and fans will be allowed to bring items in clear bags, like plastic freezer bags, and of course the ones being sold at nflshop.com (What, did you think they WOULDN'T try to make money off of this?)

I don't go to many NFL games, but when I do go to any kind of stadium I try to just bring a clutch with me...who wants to carry so much crap around? It's hard enough to maneuver in the stands as it is.

As for the seat cushions, that's just a pain in the butt. (Hi-o!) Sorry.

The new policy goes into effect in every NFL stadium starting with the first preseason games.
