More New Jersey Police Departments Speak Out After Mystery Drones Continue to Multiply
What started as random spottings across New Jersey last week has become widespread throughout the state.
Drones. Dozens of them have been hovering over us; few know why or care to speak out.
I understand the last thing the governor wants to do is cause a panic, but given the lack of knowledge, I know how some people are spooked out about this.
Plus, drone sightings are growing, and so are questions.
A new Facebook page has been created for this "event."
It's called "New Jersey Mystery Drones—let's solve it." As of this writing, over 8,000 people are following it.
Speculation and sightings on social media are running wild.
Residents in ten New Jersey counties have now contacted authorities to report drones flying high and not so high.
Patch reports that police in Monmouth County are asking officials to report sightings to the FBI. Monmouth is not alone.
Sightings have moved south to Ocean County. Folks in Brick, Toms River, Point Pleasant, and Manchester claim to see the drones.

There's a good possibility that news of a few drone sightings that started the speculation spread like wildfire, causing more and more people to fly drones and create panic.
The FBI and New Jersey State Police are asking residents to call 1-800-CALL-FBI to report drone sightings and any additional information they may have.
