25 New Jersey Towns With the Most Aggressive Drivers, Ranked
Anybody who has spent more than five minutes driving in New Jersey already knows this state has some seriously aggressive drivers. It doesn't matter if you are on the Parkway, Route 1, Route 9, or trying to survive a crowded Shore town in July. At some point, somebody is going to tailgate you, cut you off, or lay on the horn the second a light turns green. Honestly, aggressive driving almost feels like part of New Jersey culture at this point.

Some towns have built a bigger reputation than others, though. Certain places in the state are known for chaotic intersections, packed highways, impatient commuters, and drivers who seem to believe speed limits are merely suggestions. Locals in these towns are always in a hurry, and visitors usually figure that out within minutes.
Most Aggressive Drivers in New Jersey
North Jersey definitely dominates the conversation on aggressive driving habits. Cities with heavy congestion and nonstop commuter traffic naturally create impatient drivers. Places near major highways, tunnels, airports, and shopping centers tend to bring out the worst behind the wheel.
But Shore towns deserve their own category, too.
Once summer hits, places in Ocean and Monmouth County become completely different animals. Add tourists, beach traffic, construction, and people fighting over parking spots, and suddenly, even a quick trip for coffee becomes stressful.

New Jersey Towns With The Worst Drivers
Of course, every town in New Jersey thinks another town has worse drivers. Ask someone from Ocean County, and they will immediately blame North Jersey. Ask somebody from Bergen County, and they will probably say the Parkway near the Shore is pure madness.
That is exactly why lists like this always start arguments online.
We ranked 25 New Jersey towns that have developed reputations for aggressive driving, impatient commuters, and roads that locals love to complain about. Some picks will probably make total sense to you. Others might completely annoy you.
