Each year, between May and September, the New Jersey State Park Service hires around 800 seasonal employees to fill various positions around the state.

Lifeguards at Island Beach State Park start at $19.50 per hour, and positions at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, Hudson County, and The Greenway in Essex and Hudson counties start at $20 per hour.
