NYC’s First Ice Bar is Open

Minus5 Ice Bar is at the Hilton Hotel on Sixth Avenue. The entire bar is made of ice.

It costs $20 to get into the bar and that includes Eskimo-style gloves and a parka.

The temperature inside is 23 degrees. Everything in the bar is made of ice: chairs, glasses, even the lights.

Any heat-emitting devices that could melt the arctic freeze -- like cellphones-- must be deposited in temperature-proof lockers at the door.
