Ocean County Health Department accepting walk-ins for vaccines at RWJ-BH in Toms River
Need a vaccine but can't seem to find an open appointment?
Well, there may be a solution for you.
The Ocean County Health Department announced on Monday that they are allowing walk-ins, starting today, at the Covid-19 vaccination clinic set-up at the RWJ-Barnabas Health Arena in Toms River and only at the RWJ-BHA.
People still have appointments scheduled so the walk-in process will be on a first come, first served basis.
Walk-ins are only being permitted at the RWJ-BHA and not any other site as of now.
While you can now just simply walk on in, you're still being encouraged to make an appointment anyway to reserve a spot.
You can do so at www.ochd.org.
Vaccinations will only be administered this week at RWJ Barnabas Arena clinic on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
In order to get the vaccine you have to be at least 18 years of age and live, work or attend school in Ocean County.
You'll be asked to provide your insurance to offset the cost of getting the vaccine but it's not necessarily mandatory as uninsured individuals will be accepted as well.
